Class Fee: $42

Students will learn about tools, materials, design, and the basics of beading in this three hour class. Expect to complete a necklace and earrings using materials of your choice!

Netted Bezel Round

Tuesday, January 31th, 6-9 pm Class Fee $42 

While learning the netted stitch, students will use 4mm and 6mm bicones around a 18 mm ravoli to make this beautiful dynamic pendant. If you like bling, you have to make one!

Heart Pendant

Thursday, February 2nd, 6-9pm Class fee $42 

This heart pendant, designed by Maria, oozes understated elegance! No bright puffy hearts here! She uses her signature wrapping style with copper and small red and copper beads. The piece is finished with a dip in liver of sulphur which gives it a rich, antiqued patina.

D-Raw

Saturday, February 4th, 11am - 3pm Class Fee $52 

What is D-Raw you’re wondering? Diagonal Right Angle Weave! It sounds so complicated, but it isn’t really. Jan offers three ways to finish off the simple weave. You can choose a fancy clasp($$$), watch face($$) or a three strand slide clasp.

Fuzzy Beaded Beads

Monday, February 6th, 6-9pm Class Fee $42 

Advanced Class 

Create a unique beaded bead. Students begin by covering a wooden ball with beads using the peyote stitch and then embellish the bead with fringe stitch. Must be proficient with the peyote stitch. Class size is limited and teacher approval required.

Beginner Wire

Tuesday, February 7th, 6-9pm Class Fee $42 

In the basic beginner’s class, Maria will teach you to how wrap and coil with copper wire. Students will learn how to use jump rings, make a simple clasp and wire wrap a bead or drops. No one will believe that this is your first necklace!

Ndebele

Wednesday, February 8th, 6-9 pm Class Fee $42 

Ndebele, or the herringbone stitch, is a basic seed beading technique. Students will use 4mm cubes and triangles along with size 11 seed beads to make this beautiful, yet simple bracelet.

Lentil Herringbone Bracelet

This is another twist on the versatile herringbone stitch. Olga will introduce the tiny lentil beads in this modern looking bracelet which can be finished off with a simple slide clasp.

Back by popular demand!! Use daggers and drops to create these pretty flowers. Students will have time to create two or three of the versatile flowers which can be used in a bracelet or necklace.

Wire Crochet

Yes, you can crochet with wire! Jeanne will show you this simple technique which can be used in making either a bracelet or necklace. Students may choose to add pearls, seed beads, or stone as they work on their necklace.

Bezel Settings - Rings

Saturday, February 18th, 10 am-4pm Class fee $162 

If you are looking for a fresh approach to jewelry making, try metalsmithing. This class will teach you how to create sterling silver bezels to set cabochons for pendants or rings.

Skill Level: Confidant Intermediate. Pre-Requisite: Basic Soldering Class or Teacher Approval.

Class fee includes sterling silver. This may fluctuate if the price of silver goes up. Cabochons are extra and will be available in a variety of stones ranging from $5-$30. 

Optional Soldering can be preordered for a cost of $115 

 

Elements in Heat

Saturday, February 18th, 5-8pm Class fee $65 

Add a new dimension to copper and silver without breaking your budget! Learn proper firing techniques to easily add color and design to metal. Students will create fun charms from copper and enamel for pendants, earrings or bracelets. Additional materials and tools may be purchased from the instructor.

Egyptian Coil

This bracelet made out of wire is much easier than it looks! Students will learn to make individual links which interlock each other making this a smooth symmetrical bracelet.

Sew What!

Here’s yet another really cool pendant from Maria! A thimble replaces a cone with lots of fun drops in different materials to make this fancy tassle. Bring your odds ‘n ends! Nothing goes to waste in this crazy, fun necklace!!

Brazilian Beauty

Have fun with Jan making this beauty with bicones using the right angle weave technique. Also you will learn how to make your own clasp with your bead choice!

We just can’t get enough of Olga’s netting technique! Once again, she dazzles us with crystals upon crystals in this gorgeous drop pendant. This technique can be used with any type of bead to make something either casual or dressy!

At Zelda’s, UFO stands for unfinished objects. Maria is graciously donating her time and expertise to help you get those unfinished projects finished! If you have any questions or problems with your wire work, then this is your night! 

 

Reversible Draped Silver Pendants

With Carol Scheftic 

Wednesday, February 29th, 6-9pm Class Fee $42 

Make a truly unique fine silver pendant (or focal bead to string later) by learning how to roll and drape thin sheets of "metal clay" ... and then decorate the other side for both added strength and reversibility.

This will be an intermediate-level evening: you should have some prior experience with metal clay.
