Everyone Here is Happy
Zelda's Bead Kit Company

About

Just about everyone who walks into my shop asks me if I’m Zelda, and I reply, “No. I’m Trish and I’m happy to meet you.” I named my shop, Zelda’s Bead Kit Company, in honor of a business that my husband owned: Zelda’s Greenhouse in Oakland. It was a very busy, popular bar in the college campus area of Pittsburgh. The bar closed many years ago, but the name has a personal meaning to me, and thought I’d like to keep the tradition going of a bustling, friendly, gathering spot.

I could go on and on about our classes, customer service, quality, price, selection, location, etc, but my inner-most passion to create is the driving force behind Zelda’s Bead Kit Company. All of my life, I’ve been compelled to create things, Barbie doll houses when I was a little girl, picnic tables and a giant teepee when I was in high school, Halloween costumes, purses, stuffed animals…you-name-it and I’ve probably made it with any medium I could get my hands on. Then, I discovered beads. Everything else has been stashed away and now it’s just me and the BEADS! Lots and lots of beads. I love everything about them. Color and texture. Size and shape. Pearls. Stone. Glass. Silver. Gold. Copper! My bead stash was getting so large that I ran out of storage space in my home. Beads were everywhere. There were beads in every room of the house, and I realized that enough was still not enough. So I decided that...

The next step was finding a store front and studio, which is where I find myself today. I am meeting great people and I am buying and selling beads every day. I couldn’t be happier. No one knows what adventures await for each of us, or who we may meet just around the corner. However, what I’m hoping for each day, is to spend time with my customers and share our love and passions for beading and creating jewelry.

WE LOVE OUR CUSTOMERS

Hi Trish! I just wanted to let you know HOW MUCH my friend Julie and I loved your store! When we left and checked the time and realized we spent 3 hours there, we were flabbergasted!

We did go on to the three stores in Canonsburg and we were highly disappointed. Each store had about 1/10th the inventory you have and none of the personality! Your store layout, the beautiful creations you have displayed and the wonderfully unique items and beads you carry are all top notch! We thoroughly enjoyed shopping at Zelda's today!

Thank you again for the pizza! :-)
